Management of the Funds
The Board of Directors oversees the Funds'
management, decides on matters of general policy, and reviews
the activities of the Funds' Adviser. The Board also makes decisions
concerning investment strategies, but will not change a funds
stated size limitations or closing commitments without a vote
of shareholders. The officers of Bridgeway Funds conduct and supervise
the mutual funds' daily business operations. Bridgeway Capital
Management, Inc., of 5615 Kirby Drive, Suite 518, Houston, Texas
77005-2448, acts as the Investment Adviser. The Adviser is a Texas
corporation organized in 1993 to act as the funds' investment
Adviser. John Montgomery, Vice-President of the Funds and the
Adviser, has managed the affairs of Bridgeway Funds since inception.
John along with Elena Khoziaeva and Michael Whipple select the
securities of ten of the Bridgeway Funds. Richard P. Cancelmo,
Jr., is the Portfolio Manager of the Bridgeway Balanced Fund.
He also leads Bridgeways equity trading area. John, Elena,
Michael and Dick are assisted by other staff who provide research
and trading support.
The Adviser is responsible for the investment
and reinvestment of Funds' assets and provides the Funds with:
Executive and other personnel
Office space
and other facilities
Administrative
services
Supervision
of the Funds daily business affairs.
The Adviser implements a continuous investment
program for the Funds, consistent with the investment objectives,
policies and restrictions of each.

Investment Management Team
John Montgomery
started Bridgeway Capital Management, Inc. and manages ten Bridgeway
Funds. He holds a BA in Engineering and Philosophy from Swarthmore
College and graduate degrees from MIT and Harvard Business School.
He worked with computer modeling and quantitative methods as a
research engineer at MIT in the late 1970s. Later, as a student
at Harvard, he investigated methods to apply modeling to portfolio
management. John began applying these methods to his own investments
in 1985. Over the next six years, this investment style proved
more successful than even John had expected. He left his full-time
position in the transportation industry at the end of 1991 to
perform full-time research on his investment models, study the
mutual fund industry, and write a business plan for Bridgeway.
Richard P. Cancelmo,
Jr. manages the Balanced Fund and leads the equity trading
team for Bridgeway. He has 20 years of investment industry experience,
including five years operating his own mutual fund. Dick worked
previously for Paine Webber, Rotan Mosle, and on the options floor
at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. Dick holds a BA in American
History from Washington and Lee University. He is a registered
investment Adviser and is also an active member of Rotary International.
He joined Bridgeway in 2000.
Elena Khoziaeva, CFA, began working at Bridgeway in 1998 in customer service, operations, and accounting. Upon completion of her MBA in 1999, she began working in investment management research and analysis. Her responsibilities have included quantitative investment management research and analysis, quantitative model operation and maintenance, and portfolio construction for the Advisor. She also serves as Investment Management contact for Bridgeway’s direct Advisory services overseeing issues that may arise (i.e. cash flows). Elena earned a Bachelor of Economic Sciences from Belarussian State Economic University in Minsk and graduated with highest honors from the University of Houston with an MBA in Accounting. Elena became a CFA Charter holder in 2006. Russian and math are her first languages.
Michael Whipple, CFA, CPA, began working for the Advisor in 2002, after earning an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. His responsibilities have included quantitative investment management research and analysis, quantitative model operation and maintenance, and portfolio construction for the Advisor. He holds a BS in Accountancy and Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Michael is also a Certified Public Accountant, and gained seven years experience in public accounting before attending graduate school. After joining the Advisor, Michael became a CFA Charter holder in 2003.
Rasool Shaik began working for the Advisor in 2006 after earning an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. His responsibilities have included quantitative investment management research and analysis, quantitative model operation and maintenance, and portfolio construction for the Advisor. He holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India and an MS in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Michigan. Prior to business school, Rasool developed software algorithms to manage complex supply chains for seven years.
Carey Peek began working at Bridgeway in 2005. Her role has been primarily supportive and includes research, analysis, and model maintenance. In addition, Carey is responsible for monitoring data quality and “stoking” the models with data. Carey graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University in 2003 with a major in economics and communications studies. Before joining Bridgeway, Carey worked two years for Teach For America.
Trading Team

James McKissick began working at Bridgeway in 2000. For the last six years he has worked as an equity trader for Bridgeway. James worked previously as a portfolio administrator for AIM Management Group. He also brings to Bridgeway his experience as Area Director for Young Life. James earned his BA in Economics at the University of Texas. He has passed the Series 6, 7 & 63 securities tests.
David Jennings has worked as an equity trader for Bridgeway since 2002. He has a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University. He previously worked as an equity options trader on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange for 3 years.
Steven “Chuck” Bates Began working in equity trading for Bridgeway in 2004. He has a BBA in Economics from University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He previously worked in sales for Direct Trading in Dallas, and as a customer service manager at Ameritrade.
Michele Camp joined the Bridgeway equity trading team in 2006. Prior to joining Bridgeway, Michele graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
